Would you pick a cinnamon roll, berry jelly roll or Nutella roll?! I can’t decide and it’s a good thing I don’t have to. These are seriously addicting and worth every bit of effort you need to put into these. I also love this recipe since the dough doesn’t need to sit like most roll recipes.

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups of flour

  • 3 tbsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 3 tbsp melted butter (if vegan use vegan butter)

  • 1 cup oat milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Fillings:

  • Nutella

  • Jelly

  • Cinnamon Sugar (2 tbsp of butter mixed + 2 tbsp of sugar)

Glaze:

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 tbsp oat milk

  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

dEATS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.

  2. In a bowl mix the flours, baking powder, salt and granulated sugar.

  3. In a separate bowl mix the butter, milk, and vanilla extract.

  4. Add the wet ingredients into the dry and stir using a rubber spatula until a dough forms.

  5. Transfer the dough onto a clean floured surface and kneed 4 times or until smooth (don’t over knead)

  6. Roll dough into a rectangle about 1/4th an inch thick (I used a glass to roll but obviously a rolling pin is easier.)

  7. Place filling of choice onto the dough in an even layer. I used Nutella, berry jelly, and a cinnamon sugar mix but do whatever your heart desires!

  8. Cut into strips about 1 inch long. You can make them smaller or larger depending on your preference.

  9. Roll up putting the filling on the inside and place on baking sheet with wax paper.

  10. Bake for around 15 min or until golden

  11. Mix the glaze ingredients together and pour over rolls once cool.
