An internal struggle to understand how I identify my past to who I am today… what makes me, me?

After going back and forth about making a holiday gift guide I took it to Instagram polls to see what your thoughts were. Since so many of you voted for me to make a gift guide, I decided to write this with a purpose: to help you think more sustainability while doing your holiday gift shopping.  

To those who have lost someone dear, Happy Celebration Day.

I wasn't surprised by how many of you were interested in seeing how I profited off my Instagram, mostly because I often wonder the same for other influencers I follow. I thought this post was necessary because honestly, I've felt like many people I follow haven't been too genuine in the posts they are putting out.

“Have you ever stopped to smell the roses?” asked Phoebe.

Claire shook her head no, “I’m always in a rush and honestly don’t like the smell of roses anyways.”

Phoebe stopped and bent down to a particularly perfect looking bed of roses. It seemed out of place with the rest of the yard being bare. Phoebe picked a rose, putting it behind her ear.

About a year ago I found myself on a swamp tour in the middle of Louisiana. It’s crazy to think back to those simpler times. For some reason I couldn’t shake the words, Hank, my charismatic tour guide let out. He seemed to have a routine of jokes he kept tucked away in his head. I wondered if these specific words were said to every group or if it was just mine. If you asked me that day I would have been sure every single group heard it but now I’m not so sure. Its almost like he was warning me and the words were meant to be trapped on repeat in my head.

We live in a material age where items are being pushed at us left and right by both corporations and consumers so its not surprising that we are left with so many useless items. While it is likely you are not in the position to star on MTV’s Hoarders, I am sure you have felt overwhelmed about where to put all your things.

Hi guys! As some of you requested I came up with a last minute holiday wishlist in case you were in need of some gift ideas (or maybe even something for yourself). Most these items I recently bought and love, or I've had my eye on.

Cotton rounds were beginning to be the death of me. I often found myself using 3-5 in one sitting since one would never do the job. Everyday I threw these straight into the garbage only to realize I was throwing away around 1,500 a year!
